How Do Blood-Based Cancer Tests Work?
These tests detect tiny fragments of DNA that cancer cells shed into the bloodstream. Advanced sequencing technologies analyze these fragments to identify genetic and molecular markers associated with cancer. Nevertheless, as technology improves, these tests are expected to become more reliable, affordable, and widely used.
